As we all know, the economy isn't in great shape. Hiring an interior designer might seem like a luxury when a lot of us are worrying about paying the bills and our economic necessities. Despite the tough times, we want our apartment or house to be a place that we like to come home to—a place that makes us feel good, expresses our style and creativity, and perhaps nurtures us when times are hard. While some of you may be cutting back on your plans for designing your homes and apartments, there are still design options that don't have to break the bank. From the inception of my Studio Scroggie, I've tried to provide affordable style to my clients—whether in my "reinvented" furniture that sells for a fraction of the cost of retail pieces, or in my interior design work. While hiring a designer might seem "too expensive" for many, I thought I should tell folks a little about one of the best values I offer clients: my $200 design consult.
Over the past few months I've been offering a 3-hour, hands-on design consultation for only $200. I'll come to your place, sit down with you, and talk about concrete ideas for doing the most with your space—whether that means helping you place your existing furniture, recommending the most economical solutions for restyling your space, helping you pick paint colors, coming up with a specific action plan, suggesting possible places to do online or thrift store shopping, or helping you use some of my own furnishings to give your place new style on a budget. Some of the people I consult with just need a little input or someone to bounce ideas off of. In fact, many are already savvy shoppers with a good sense of personal style. We do a consult and they can move ahead with little or no further help from me. Others use the consult as an opportunity to test the fit between us for larger projects. If you're interested in talking about a consult, give me a call at 917-721-0942 and tell me about your project. It could be just the small push you need to finally "finish" your place.
